Somali Funeral Fund (SFF) was established in 2016 to address local needs for burial services to the Somali community in the DFW area. Since its inception SFF has fulfilled over twenty families’ wishes by burying their loved ones in a dignified Islamic burial.
Somali Funeral Fund (SFF) utilizes Rahma Funeral Home, an approved funeral service provider by the State of Texas. SFF uses the two most used cemeteries in the area listed below:
- Denton Muslim Cemetery – Denton
- Ar-Rawdah Muslim Cemetery – Joshua
Somali Funeral Fund exclusively covers funeral expenses for Somali community members within DFW Metroplex. SFF Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution to cap the maximum burial expenses payable on behalf of families to $ 3500 per person. The rate fully covers the standard charges for burial at Denton Cemetery. However, if the deceased’s family chooses to utilize the Ar- Rawdah Cemetery in Joshua with the basic charges of $ 4600+, they are expected to pay Rahma Funeral the difference directly.
